Trust me, you’re not alone. So many creatives, business owners, and moms just like you are blogging for their business—but without a plan for how to actually get those posts seen. That ends today.

I’m sharing simple, actionable strategies to help you get real traffic to your blog—without having to be glued to Instagram.


1. Know What Your Audience Is Searching For

Blogging is about serving, not just sharing. If you want your blog to get seen, start by writing posts that answer real questions your audience is Googling.

Here’s how:

  • Use tools like Ubersuggest, Google Trends, or simply type into the search bar and see what autofills

  • Think about your ideal client and what they’re struggling with (e.g. “when to book newborn photos” or “what to wear for family pictures”)

👉 Write blogs that solve their problem—and use those exact phrases in your title, headers, and throughout the post.


2. Use SEO Keywords (But Make Them Natural)

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is what helps your blog show up on Google. But forget keyword stuffing—your writing should still feel human.

Tips:

  • Include your main keyword in your blog title, URL, first paragraph, and at least one header

  • Sprinkle related keywords throughout the post (ex: “Tulsa newborn photographer,” “baby photos in Broken Arrow,” etc.)

  • Use alt text on your images with keyword-rich descriptions


3. Add Eye-Catching Visuals

Blogs with images get 94% more views than blogs without. Use high-quality photos that reflect your brand and topic—and always rename your image files to include keywords (e.g., newborn-photos-broken-arrow.jpg).

  • DM it to someone if it answers a question you’ve seen in a Facebook group
