I believe photography should feel calm, intentional, and deeply personal, especially during seasons that already feel overwhelming.

I’m Wendy, the photographer behind Wendy Darling Photography. I specialize in newborn, maternity, and family portraits, and I’ve spent 10+ years photographing families during some of their most tender and transformative moments. My work has included photographing book covers, well-known public figures, and families who simply want their story told beautifully and honestly.

But more than credentials, what truly shapes how I photograph is my own life.

I’m a mother of six, and I understand firsthand the physical, emotional, and mental weight that can come with pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood. I know what it feels like to show up exhausted, unsure, and not fully confident in your body yet. Because of that, my sessions are never rushed, never uncomfortable, and never about forcing perfection.

From the moment you arrive, my focus is on creating a space where you feel supported, guided, and genuinely cared for. I handle every detail from posing to pacing so you don’t have to think, perform, or worry. My goal is for you to leave feeling lighter than when you arrived, confident that your story was seen and handled with intention.

Families trust me not just because of my experience, but because I show up with empathy, patience, and a deep respect for the season you’re in.
